Fire Hydrant System
Hydrant Systems form the first line of defence for every facility. We design a pressurized network of pipes that have constant readiness, optimal zoning, jockey pump regulation and fire water storage tailored to system demand. Our installations emphasise accessibility and endurance with corrosion-resistant piping, automated pump sequencing and pressure-balanced delivery lines that ensure firefighters can draw water at consistent flow and pressure even in challenging terrain. The hydrant points we commission are not fixtures, but are a promise of immediate and dependable response.
Sprinkler Systems
Fire sprinklers are the most proven and dependable form of active fire protection. They detect, respond, and suppress automatically, before a fire can grow beyond control.
Automatic Sprinkler System
Our sprinkler systems are built on the principle of intelligent simplicity. Activation only where heat is detected, delivering protection exactly where it’s needed.
Our designs comply with NFPA 13 and other international standards while being adapted to Indian realities.
We engineer systems that optimise cost, minimise water wastage and maximise coverage, supported by hydraulic calculations that balance discharge density with pump efficiency.
Automatic Pre-action Sprinkler System
Sharks India’s Automatic Pre-action Sprinkler System represents the intersection of intelligence and restraint. Designed for environments where accidental discharge could cause significant damage.
These systems are a hybrid between dry pipe and detection-controlled suppression. In order for the Double Interlock Pre-Action System to automatically actuate, two independent events must occur. The Deluge Valve Releasing Panel must operate and open the Solenoid Valve upon automatic operation of the electric fire detection initiating circuit, and the sprinkler system piping must lose air pressure due to operation of one or more sprinklers. The Double Interlock Pre-action System will automatically actuate only when both the Dry Pilot Actuator and the Solenoid Valve are open at the same time. Unintended opening of just the Dry Pilot Actuator or the Solenoid Valve will only cause an alarm and not actuate the system or flood the sprinkler system piping - a double verification process that prevents accidental water release.
These systems are ideal for data centers, archives, museums, clean rooms, laboratories and factory floors with expensive electronic machinery where the value of protection lies in precision.
Water Spray Systems
When the risk profile demands rapid heat absorption or surface cooling, Water Spray Systems become indispensable. When designed with precision, they form a continuous curtain of fine water droplets that shield assets, contain radiant heat and prevent fire spread.
At Sharks India, every system is engineered after detailed hazard analysis, considering equipment geometry, spacing and thermal load, to ensure that protection is both effective and efficient.
We offer two types of Water Spray Systems:
High Velocity Water Spray Systems (HVWS)
HVWS systems are primarily used for oil-based and flammable liquid hazards where fire can ignite quickly and radiant heat can be intense. Operating at pressure typically from 3.5 to 5 Kg/cm², HVWS systems discharge water through specially designed nozzles that convert into high velocity droplets. These droplets penetrate the oil surface, cool vapours and cut off oxygen supply, effectively smothering the fire.
Typical applications include transformers, lube oil systems, diesel generators and turbine bearings
Medium Velocity Water Spray System (MVWS)
MVWS systems are ideal when the goal is to cool surfaces and prevent fire spread rather than extinguish flammable liquid fires directly.
Operating at pressure typically from 1.4 to 3.5 Kg/cm², these systems create a protective water curtain or spray envelope that shields equipment, structural steel, or adjacent storage tanks from heat exposure.
Typical applications include LPG bottling plants, cable galleries, conveyors and storage tank farms.
Water Mist Systems
Water Mist Systems convert water into ultra-fine droplets. These systems control, suppress or extinguish fires through three simultaneous effects: cooling the flame and surrounding gases, dispatching oxygen and blocking radiant heat.
Unlike conventional sprinkler systems, water mists require significantly less water while achieving equal or greater suppression efficiency. The result is minimal water damage , rapid fire knockdown and environmentally sustainable protection.
At Sharks India, our Water Mist Systems protect critical spaces that demand protection from both fire and water damage. Every system design involves hazard classification, nozzle selection, and droplet size modeling, ensuring that the system’s mist density and velocity are perfectly matched to the fire’s thermal profile.
High Pressure Water Mist Systems
Operating at pressures above 80 bar, High Pressure Water Mist Systems generate ultra-fine droplets (typically less than 100 microns) that quickly absorb heat and displace oxygen at the flame interface.
These systems are especially effective in enclosed areas where quick cooling and minimal residue are critical, such as data centers, cable tunnels, road and rail tunnels, engine rooms, clean rooms and high-value storage spaces.
Low Pressure Water Mist Systems
Operating typically between 10 to 16 bar, Low Pressure Water Mist Systems use slightly larger droplet sizes to provide effective cooling and wetting over a broader surface area.
They are ideal for facilities where water availability, maintenance simplicity and cost effectiveness are the key considerations.
